Welcoming You Back: A New Chapter in the Heart of Luang Prabang
By Indigo House Management | Published July 2026
Every Great Story Has a Interlude
For the past three months, behind closed wooden doors along Sisavangvong Road, something quiet and beautiful has been taking shape.
While the morning mist rolled over Mount Phousi and the Mekong gently swept past our UNESCO World Heritage town, our historic property underwent a thoughtful transformation. We paused, listened to the feedback of our cherished guests, and set out to elevate our boutique home into something truly extraordinary.
Today, we are thrilled to officially open our doors once again and welcome you to The New Indigo House Hotel.
Heritage Soul, Modern Comfort
When we first envisioned this upgrade, our guiding promise was simple: preserve the timeless soul of Luang Prabang while seamlessly elevating the guest experience.
We wanted to ensure that every corner of our 12 boutique rooms continues to celebrate Lao heritage—from our handwoven Indigo textiles and local artisan details to the rich scents of fresh frangipani and organic Paksong coffee brewing on our rooftop terrace.
At the same time, we listened closely to what mattered most for your comfort. We are proud to announce that Indigo House is now fully equipped with a brand-new, modern elevator, offering step-free access to all four floors and every room on the property. Whether returning from a day exploring ancient temples or carrying artisanal market treasures back to your suite, your journey through our home is now completely effortless.

“We didn’t just renovate a hotel; we curated a space where the slow, poetic rhythm of Luang Prabang meets total modern comfort.”
